CI passenger arrival measures

For travellers boarding an aircraft to Cook Islands from 11.59pm, 25 March 2020

There is a managed process from the moment you land in Cook Islands, that will guide you through Public Health screening and then border processing (immigration, customs and biosecurity).

As you will have to enter quarantine or managed isolation for 14 days on arrival, if you have onward travel booked within that period you should cancel your arrangements. If this incurs a cost you should approach your insurance company in the first instance.

For travellers boarding an aircraft to Cook Islands before 11.59pm, 25 March 2020

Passengers will be disembarked in small groups and met by Government officials at the gate.

When passengers disembark the plane, TMO health officials will discuss self-isolation and transport arrangements and answer any questions passengers may have.

If passengers have a domestic transit flight, they won't be allowed to connect to that flight.

If a passenger is symptomatic on arrival, they'll be tested and placed in an approved isolation facility for 14 days.

If a passenger is not symptomatic on arrival, they'll be asked to explain their plan for self-isolation and transport arrangements to that place.
