Treasury Vacancies

The Treasury Management Division is looking for dynamic experienced individuals who would be interested in the following positions:

Senior Accountant (Remuneration based on experience and qualifications)

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Financial/Management Accountant to join the team. Your primary responsibilities will include;

  • Preparations of financial statements under IPSAS
  • Preparations of various management reporting requirements
  • Maintain financial policies and procedures
  • Mentoring and guiding junior staff

Key selection criteria;

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Membership of a Professional Accountancy Body an advantage
  • Work experience that is both relevant and current

Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in a related field of work
  • Understanding of spreadsheet and maintaining databases

Accountant (Start $26,822)

This position will be involved in providing financial management services across Government. Your primary responsibilities will include;

  • Assist transition to a single platform Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS);
  • Improving timeliness and accuracy of Government agency accounts;
  • Develop Agency processes and reporting to improve Public Sector Financial Management;

Key selection criteria

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Work experience that is both relevant and current

Knowledge and Experience

  • Understanding of spreadsheet and maintaining databases
  • Demonstrated experience in a related field of work

Payroll Supervisor(Start $22,352)

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive payroll experience with knowledge of PayGlobal system being an advantage. Your primary responsibilities will include;

  • Ensuring all data relating to the government’s payroll processing is processed timely and accurately;
  • Provide all necessary payroll reporting to all stakeholders.

Key selection criteria

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Skill in performing detailed payroll computations.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
  • Payroll record keeping and reporting requirements and procedures.

Senior Treasury Officer (Start $26,822)

This is a great opportunity for someone with a banking background. Your primary responsibilities will include;

  • Managing Government investments and reserves;
  • Managing Government Debt portfolio;
  • Preparing Bank Reconciliations;

Key selection criteria

  • Strong computer skills preferably with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Demonstrated experience in funds management;
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead a team.
